Pure sustainability: Responsibility for Our Future
Act responsibly now! Stop the senseless waste of resources with your first sip and actively protect the environment.
Improve your CO2 footprint
By using our water filter systems, you can significantly reduce your own CO2 emissions and avoid using plastic bottles. They are an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to buying bottled water.
The CO2 emissions of our water filtration systems are only 0.35 g per litre of filtered water. For comparison, the production of one litre of bottled water produces approx. 210 g CO2. Added to this is the transportation and energy required to cool and store bottled water.
Bottling
Bottles, whether disposable or reusable, must be filled. Reusable bottles can be refilled up to 25 times (if made of glass up to 50 times), but chemicals are required for cleaning, and additional energy is used for transport. The disadvantage of one-way plastic bottles is that they cannot be refilled. They are only recycled, but plastic is lost in the process.
By using a VISION AQUA® water filter, you help reduce transportation costs and unnecessary energy use, including for the recycling process.
Oil consumption and plastic waste
According to the German Environmental Aid Association, the production of plastic bottles in Germany alone consumes around 438,000 tons of crude oil and natural gas condensates per year. This quantity would be enough to heat 356,000 single-family homes for a year. Every year, approx. 5.4 kg of waste from plastic bottles is produced per capita in Germany. Extrapolated to the total population, this amounts to 448,200 tons of plastic waste. By using a water filter from VISION AQUA®, you can do without plastic bottles and actively contribute to preventing this plastic waste from ending up in the world's oceans.
Reduce, Repair, Recycle – the three R's of VISION AQUA®
Reduce
The VISION AQUA® water filters are characterised by very high energy efficiency. Especially our water filter Verdanium HOME, Verdanium MAX und Verdanium GEO use for drinking water purification the GreenOsmo® Technology. This means significantly less wastewater and a reduced energy requirement per litre of filtered water compared to conventional reverse osmosis water filters. We pass these cost savings directly to our customers with our water filters.
Repair
During planning, attention was focused on the fact that the VISION AQUA® water filters are very easy to maintain. A filter change usually takes only a few minutes and can be carried out without additional special tools.
However, should it ever come to more extensive maintenance, our water filters can be repaired in a short time, as all installed components are directly accessible and easy to replace.
Recycle
In the VISION AQUA® water filters, care is taken to ensure that only recyclable materials are used. The plastics used - e.g. for the filter cartridges - therefore consist exclusively of high-quality polypropylene and polyethylene, which are particularly easy to recycle.
To give our customers added value in a VISION AQUA® water filter, all housings are made of aluminium, which is light and stable and exceptionally durable.
Save water with a VISION AQUA® water filter
Reverse osmosis is the best way to treat water and obtain the cleanest drinking water. However, standard reverse osmosis systems require a lot of energy, which is reflected in particular in increased water consumption. Water ratios of 1:3, 1:6 or even 1:10 are not uncommon. This discourages many people from buying a water filter and prefer to use mineral water, which unnecessarily harms the environment.
Thanks to our many years of experience in drinking water treatment, we have improved our water filtration systems to such an extent that they go far beyond the standard. Our customers benefit daily from consistently excellent drinking water quality, very high efficiency and production volumes, and low water consumption.
The VISION AQUA® water filters with GreenOsmo® Technology take reverse osmosis even further to an entirely new level. With the integrated rinse water recovery, part of the rinse water is returned to the filtration process, and a considerable amount of raw water is saved. In addition, the rinse water recovery results in a concentration dilution on the wastewater side of the water filters, which results in a quick start of the filtration process.
The water ratio of 1:0.8 is absolutely unrivalled and unmatched to date. For one litre of clean water, only 1.8 litres of raw water are needed.
